Artist's Comments

I originally made one of these for my 35mm camera but I should have made it look ratty because I've sold about 8 of them so far as purses.

Daily DeviationTrapper's_Bag by *aberham is a smart-looking, very professionally worked bag. This handsome design is completely and expertly hand-stitched. (Featured by ^Kitten-of-Woe)

If you don't mind telling me, what kind of leather do you use for bags? This is beautiful.

Thanks,
Eric
I use vegetable tanned leather similar to Tandy's. The main parts were 7/8 oz. and the gussets were 4/5 oz.. I then use fiebing's oil dyes and Leather Balm for the finish. I handstitch all my work as I don't really like sewing machines.
And thanks for the compliment.
Very nice! Looks professional... nice and clean. Your stitching is great (mine gets wonky sometimes... ha ha)

Don't look at me that way... it was an honest mistake.
I like this. I noticed you brought the back up and put the handle on it rather than on the gusset. Nice work. Is the pocket under the flap an open pocket or zipper?
very nice
The back is from the trapper's bag design rather than a purse. The pocket is open cuz I hate to do zippers. There is actually a flat pocket in the main pouch that is stitched with the outside pocket but doesn't have a gusset.
What a beautiful leather creation,
and the stitching is incredibly neatly done.
